The Blue Ridge Raiders finished up the winter sports season, in time for spring sports to begin. Girls and boys basketball, wrestling, and basketball cheerleading, all worked very hard this season and had some successes.
Girls Basketball– Finishing with an overall record of 3-19, and a league record of 1-16, the Lady Raiders had a good season. Senior Ashley Torres lead the team this season with the most points, having 154 this season. Other top scorers were, sophomore Rayne Glover having 76, and senior Savannah Glover close behind with 74. Savannah Glover was awarded defensive MVP, along with Torres who was awarded offensive MVP. Most improved players were awarded to freshman Lily Bleck and sophomore Madison Gelinger.
Boys Basketball– The Raiders finished off a great season with an overall record of 9-23, and a league record of 7-14. The top scorer this season was Senior Gavin Rosa, having exactly 300 points. Others were, senior Ben Bleck with 246, and junior Calvin Scheideler having 195 points. Rosa was awarded offensive player of the year, as junior Ryan Mills was defensive player of the year. Scheideler was the most improved player, and Bleck received the coaches award.
Basketball Cheerleading– The ladies did a great job cheering for the boys this season. Team leaders were awarded to junior Peyton Gelinger and junior Sierra Bross. Mykenzie Layton was given the senior standout award, and sophomore Audrianna Choplosky was most improved.
Wrestling– The Raiders pulled off a good season ending with two wrestlers, senior Eli Aldrich and Jordan Williams (Susquehanna), advancing to regionals.
