“Talent may get you on the field, but it’s attitude and effort that gets you there!” – Ken Griffey JR
BR senior Timothy Higgins is committed to play Division III baseball at Kings College and will major in business.
For now, though, Higgins is getting ready to finish his high school sports career.
While he has many memories from high school, one memory, he says, will forever stay with him.
“The Raiders baseball team finished up their season when they beat Elk Lake in the playoff game after losing the year before. There was a lot of trash talk that was happening which helped us put our motivation to win on another level.”
Higgins is the BR High School’s pitcher and can play left field when needed. He also participates in basketball.
He says the thing he will miss most about his high school experience is being with and seeing his friends everyday. He will also miss his basketball team, as he believes they helped him get where he is today.
Higgins also says he couldn’t get through high school without the support of his family and friends.
“My family and friends lift me up and keep me going.”
Another person who has helped Higgins is history teacher Mr. Greg Bitner.
Advice Higgins would give to the underclassmen is that “you should keep grinding and don’t do anything stupid.”
