Senior Feature: Ryan Scott

By: Abby Laude/Senior Feature Editor

“The pain you feel today is the strength you’ll have tomorrow.” – Kevin Levrone

Senior Ryan Scott’s future plans are to attend either Penn State main campus, or the University of Pittsburgh to major in political science or finance. His overall goal is to start the process of creating generational wealth.

At Blue Ridge High School, Scott is involved in FBLA (3 years, treasurer junior year and president senior year), Student Council (4 year), NHS (3 years and secretary senior year), SADD (3 years), Leo Club (3 years), Science Club (3 years), and is the 2024 class president (sophomore year and senior year).

He was also apart of the football team (2 years), golf team(1 year), basketball team (4 years), and boys volleyball (1 years).

When Scott leaves Blue Ridge, he says he won’t miss much.

“All I am going to miss is seeing my friends, and that is it.”

When asked about his favorite teacher, he could not pick one.

“I like all of my teachers the same.”

Scott’s mentor was his grandfather who he says helped shaped him into the person he is today.

“He taught me how important having good character is.”

His favorite class was chemistry.

He says, “I did not like the work, but I liked the content.”

Scott’s favorite school lunch in the Blue Ridge cafeteria is mozzarella sticks with pasta.

His advice to underclassmen is: “Be wise in the decision making process, and to get in the weight room.”
