Senior Feature: Olivia Colwell

By: Ryan Glatzel/Senior Writer

“You will face many defeats in life, but never let yourself be defeated.” -Unknown

Senior Olivia Colwell’s Blue Ridge high school career is soon coming to an end, but she’s already focusing on her future plans. She plans to attend Marywood University to major in accounting. Colwell is still unsure of whether or not she wants to participate in any clubs or sports in college. She also anticipates that, compared to high school, the next few years will be “harder work, but I’m excited to have more freedom coming from being away from home.”

During her time at Blue Ridge, Colwell kept busy with a few extracurricular activities. She’s been part of the band for 7 years and was also part of the basketball cheerleading team for 2 years.

When asked what her dream job would be, she responded “I would love to be an accountant.”

When asked what advice she’d give to underclassmen, Colwell said: “The classes you choose do matter and they do impact your future, so choose wisely.”
