Senior Feature: Jerni Schell

By: Annie Bonner/Content Editor

One of Blue Ridge’s starting varsity volleyball players, Jerni Schell, is a senior this year. Throughout her high school career Schell has been involved in countless activities. They include playing softball, volleyball, and being a basketball cheer-leader. She is involved with Leo Club where she is currently the Secretary, and she is also the President of the FBLA team. Jerni is a member of both Prom and Homecoming Committee, and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Schell has accomplished a lot during high school. Along with being the Leo Club Secretary and FBLA President, she has helped lead her volleyball team to win their fifth consecutive district title. In her junior year volleyball season, she made Second Team All State and hopes to make first team all state this year.

Schell’s favorite thing about high school has been “growing closer with the people I’ve been with since kindergarten.”

According to Mary Kerr, Schell can be described as “a girl who can make anyone feel better and happier.”

After high school, Schell plans to attend Scranton University with an undecided major. She hopes that she can become successful in whatever she chooses to do in her future.
