Senior Feature: Ethan Ashley

“We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.” – Willy Wonka 

Senior Ethan Ashley future plans are to pursue education and specifically the subject of history at Mansfield University.

At Blue Ridge High School, he was involved in SADD (1 year), Drama Club (8 years), and Track and Field (1 year). He had many lead roles in musicals/plays that he flourished in. 

Ethan Ashley and Jocelyn Frantz acting in the most recent play “Bye, Bye Birdie.”

Ashley’s favorite high school memory is pranking the entire chorus class. He elaborated and said, “My friends and I redirected the course of a music class one day and thought it was pretty hilarious.”

After graduation, Ashley is going to miss everyone. He said, “I don’t have to like everyone, but I will miss interacting with the same people through the years.”

He noted that his favorite teacher is Amy Zakarauskas. He has said that she is his mentor and has helped him through the years to mold him into the person he is today. 

Ashley’s favorite class was Chorus. He said, “It has always been a good environment.”

His favorite school lunch is mac and cheese.

Abby Laude is heading into her senior year which makes her a 2024 graduate. She is apart of Prom Committee, National Honors Society, and SADD. She is also on the varsity softball team where she spends most of her time. Her future plans consist of going to college to obtain a bachelor's degree in Human Services, but she is unsure of what job to specifically pursue. Outside of school, Abby likes to camp, shop, and hang out with family.
