Senior Feature: Eli Buchanan

Eli’s future plans are to join the workforce and hopefully manage their own business one day.

“I like to maintain a fun but stable feeling in the workplace.”

Buchanan has been involved in Blue Ridge Pride Club, President (11th-12th), Theatre Tech(10th-12th) and band secretary.

Eli’s favorite memory in high school was playing for graduation in the band for all of their friends.

“All of my friends were mainly class of 2023, so it was an ode to them to play it one last time.”

Q & A with Eli Buchanan

R.R. What will you miss most from Blue Ridge High School?

E.B. I will miss Mr. Lorusso’s funny comments and the ride to SCCTC every morning. Good place for naps.

R.R. Who is your favorite teacher, and why?

E.B. My favorite teacher is Mr. Lorusso. He helped me break out of my shell and realize there’s so many different ways to cope, and that music is one of those ways.

R.R. What is your favorite class this year?

E.B. I’m at SCCTC, so my only class is the criminal justice class.

R.R. What is your favorite lunch from the school’s cafeteria?

E.B. My favorite school lunch has to be chicken tenders.

R.R. Do you have any advice for underclassmen?

E.B. If you don’t have a plan after school, don’t stress on it. People will try to bombard you with questions on why, just stand your ground and tell your truth.
