Senior Feature: Cody Gunn

By: Emily McCarthy/ Junior Writer and Editor

Cody Gunn, is a senior of the Blue Ridge High School graduating class of 2024; his future career plans are to join Arctic Bear, a HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) company. Cody’s plans on furthering his education through the company Arctic Bear.

Through Cody’s High School career he was a part of two clubs, being Geocaching for two years with Mr. Benjamin Orner and Scholastic for one year, with Mrs. Katie Bailey.

Mrs. Bailey was Cody’s favorite high school teacher through his four years, his favorite memory being during his eleventh grade year one of his classmates getting kicked out into the hallway. Bailey helped Cody throughout school with his academics and was overall “just a great teacher.”

Cody Gunn’s favorite class throughout high school was Mr. Bitner’s Government class he took his eleventh grade year. History was Cody’s favorite subject, it morally just interested him.

After leaving Blue Ridge, Cody will miss his friends and some teachers that have helped him throughout his years in high school.

Cody would like to tell all upcoming underclassmen to “Not give up, ask for help when needed and always get back up!”
