“Don’t stop until your proud.” – Unknown
Senior Caila George future plans are to go to college to obtain a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She will have already earned her associates degree through the Level-Up program at Lackawanna College.
She says, “I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to get a step ahead. It can be stressful at times, but it will be a good thing in the end.”
At Blue Ridge High School, she was involved in Leo Club (4 years), Science Club (1 year), SADD (2 years), NHS (2 years), BR Athletic Student Staff (2 years) and Prom Committee (2 years).
She also participates in soccer (1 year), cross country (1 year), basketball cheer (2 years), and track (4 years).
George’s favorite high school memory is helping Mr. Swaha set up for games and the environment that surrounds the games.
“I loved how everyone comes out to support no matter the demographics of who you are in school.”
After graduation, George is going to miss Katherine Heeman and being able to go into her classroom to talk to her about anything.
Her favorite teacher is Katie Bailey.
“She makes class more enjoyable and tolerable.”
George’s mentor was her older brother, Caiden. She mentioned that when it was his freshman year, she was able to talk to him and see how high school was. He frequently texts her to check up on her throughout the day.
George’s favorite class was public speaking.
“It was fun watching everyone give their speeches and even though it was not the most enjoyable thing, it was entertaining hearing the stories that people came up with.”
Her favorite school lunch in the Blue Ridge cafeteria is mash potato bowl.
George’s advice to underclassman is “make sure that you keep your head straight and stay out of drama as much as you can.
