Teacher’s Comments on Austin Grover

English teacher, Katie Bailey says: “Austin is a young man who is motivated and driven. School was not always easy or a place where he found success, but through persistence he found an amazing amount of success. From failing to honor roll, from a kid in trouble to a mentor, he has transformed himself. I’m so proud of him.”

Learning support teacher, Bobbie McCain, says: “Austin is a student that has the biggest heart. I am so thankful that he has the opportunity to go to SCCTC and learn in the way that he does best. I am always proud of students’ successes, but Austin’s successes are important because he never gave up.”

Administrative assistance Tonya Haley, says: “Austin stormed through many trials and tribulations. He referred to me as his ‘school mom.’ Sometimes being a pain in the neck, his antics kept me on my toes. He infused the office with his lively demeanor, serving a reminder that he will overcome whatever obstacle steps in his way on his journey to success. I will miss him.”

High school principal, Casey Webster, says: “I’ll miss our pizza parties.”
