Anthony Torres is a senior at Blue Ridge, who has his plans set for after he graduates. Although he isn’t quite sure where he wants to go yet, Torres plans to go to college to study for a doctorate in pharmacy. He wants to pursue his career in sciences because he has always wanted to help people, and has always enjoyed sciences. He combined the two things that he liked the most and that led him towards pharmaceutical sciences. In ten years, Torres pictures himself as to the administrator of a pharmaceutical research facility.
Torres is excited for the next chapter in his life, he says it will bring many new experiences and he feels that his academic interests will go up.
While his time here at Blue Ridge, Torres has participated in various clubs, and he continues to participating in many more clubs as he continues into college. At Blue Ridge, he has participated in Envirothon, Leo Club, PMEA Band and Orchestra, Sports Managing (Soccer, Basketball, and Track and Field) for three years; Scholastic bowl, and National Honor Society.
When asked to give advice to underclassmen Torres stated, “High school is the place to discover yourself and looking into what you want to be in the future, Make the most of high school and learn as much as you can.”
