Senior Feature: Angelina Mirra

By: Ryan Glatzel/Senior Editor

“To find yourself, think for yourself.” -Socrates

Senior Angelina Mirra’s Blue Ridge high school career is soon coming to an end, but she’s already focusing on her future plans. She plans to attend Bloomsburg University but is undecided on which major she will pursue. If a college doesn’t work out, she wants to move into the city. Mirra is still unsure of whether or not she wants to participate in any clubs or sports in college, but says “If anything interests me I’ll most likely give it a try. She also anticipates that, compared to high school, the next few years will be “different and difficult, but hopefully fun. I’m also excited to have more freedom being away from home.”
During her time at Blue Ridge, Mirra has made many memories. When asked what her favorite memory was she responded, “Probably all the friends I made and everything we did together in and out of school!” When asked what her favorite class and who her favorite teacher was, Mirra responded, “I love ceramics class because I liked using the clay and making cool things with it. My favorite teacher was Mrs. Camburn because of how nice, patient, and helpful she was. She always makes class fun and I admire her for that.”
When asked what her dream job would be, she responded “I think it’d be cool to do something involved with special effects or making movies. It would be cool to do either of those things if I ever got the chance.”
When asked what advice she’d give to underclassmen, Mirra said: “You have to find stuff out on your own. No one tells you what, in your viewpoint, is right and wrong. You decide that for yourself.”
