A quote that represents Reese Allen’s experience at Blue Ridge High School is, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Nelson Mandela
As Reese’s journey through Blue Ridge High School comes to an end she has decided on going to the University of Pittsburgh to major in Nutrition in the accelerated Master’s program to become a Registered Dietitian. Her dream is to either be a dietician on a sports team or to help people with eating disorders. She plans to attend and live on the main campus.
While at college she plans to participate in clubs involved with nutrition and to be involved in the community early on. On the other hand, during high school, she was involved in the National Honor Society since 10th grade and was treasurer this year. She was also SADD president, Science Club president, involved in Leo Club (8th-12th), on the prom committee, participated in Geocaching (8th-12th), a class officer (9th-12th), and a varsity baseball manager.
Reese anticipates the next few years of her life will be a new chapter. While I will be 6 hours away from home, I am very happy to be meeting new people, and exploring a new area compared to high school.
A piece of advice that she would like to share with the underclassmen is to “Always work hard and accomplish the things you want to accomplish.”
