Reese Allen Senior Feature

By: Breanna Derrick/ Content and News Manager

A quote that represents Reese Allen’s experience at Blue Ridge High School is “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” -Nelson Mandela

As Reese’s journey through Blue Ridge High School comes to an end, she has decided on going to the University of Pittsburgh to major in Nutrition through an accelerated Master’s program. She hopes to achieve her certification as a Registered Dietician to help athletes as well as those with diabetes, eating disorders, etc. While at college she plans to participate in clubs involved with nutrition, as well as to be involved in the community at Pitt in other ways.

During high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, and she had the honor of being Treasurer this year. She was also President of SADD, President of The Science Club, and a member of Leo Club (8th-12th). She participated in prom committee and Geocaching (8th-12th), and she was class officer (9th-12th) and varsity baseball manager.

Reese anticipates a new chapter in her life. While she will be six hours away from home, she is very happy to be meeting new people and exploring a new place that has lots to discover and experience.

A piece of advice that she would like to share with the underclassmen is “Always work hard and accomplish the things you want to accomplish.”
