On December 21st, 2018, Blue Ridge’s Foods classes held their annual Gingerbread House making competition.
“The kids absolutely love making them, they put in lots of time and effort to show their creative sides,” says foods teacher, Mrs. Kristen Latting.
“[Making the gingerbread houses] takes all the skills we learned in the first half of the year and ties them together – things like time management, food preparation techniques, and collaboration.”
The winner is yet to be announced.
“The tree farm was done by Foods II kids, so they’ve had a bit more experience.” adds Latting.
