New York! New York! New York!

“Somewhere Between Living And Dreaming There’s New York” ~Emily Berkowitz

The world is filled with many different people, places, and cultures. It only makes sense to take advantage of any opportunity to explore it as much as possible in our life time. A few days ago, Mrs. Sarrah Dibble-Camburn organized a day trip to New York City, leaving the school at 5:15 a.m. and returning at 9:30 p.m. The schedule consisted of the Ocean Odyssey, City Kitchen, Beetlejuice the Musical, and Rahway Mall.

After a long and tiring bus trip filled with lots of traffic, we finally made it into the city! Our first destination was the Ocean Odyssey, an interactive underwater journey that uses cutting-edge technology to transport you to many places across the sea, where we encountered many types of species of aquatic animals that are living in the vast ocean. We also learned about all of the things that are harming our ocean and how to make it better.

Beetlejuice the Musical was the next stop, and it kept the audience entertained very well. In between the laughs, we experienced some great acting and singing from the amazing actors and actresses. Broadway is an experience that everyone should have at least once in their lives. There were many amazing set-work that is put within the musical, including a full house set and a rooftop scene. Overall it was a very funny and truly amazing performance that had me laughing the entire time.

On the way home we stopped at the Rahway Mall, where we ate delicious food from the food court, hung out with our friends, and walked around the mall until it was time to head home.

Overall, the New York City trip was an amazing experience that everyone should take advantage of. We walked to all of the destinations so that we could make the most out of our trip, seeing different types of people, places, and any events take place unexpectedly.
