As everyone knows, the whole world was put on hold due to COVID-19, with a majority of people put in self-quarantine to hep stop he spread. But if anyone is like me, being stuck in quarantine is not ideal at all. After being stuck inside for almost two months, I’ve found many new fun things to do that might make your quarantine better.
1.) Find a new hobby! For example I found out I really enjoy painting and drawing, find something you’ve never really tried before and do it for a coupe days and see how you like it. It might turn into your new favorite pass time activity!
2.) Try new recipes! You can attempt to try new foods, bake goods and use your creativity to create fun meals for you and your family to try! (See Tori Auckland’s article “Cooking and Baking Boredom” for new recipes.)
3.) Start a new show! Find a show with as many seasons, a show you’d really like and enjoy. Watch the show and make it fun. (See Breanna Post’s article “What TO Watch and What NOT to Watch During Quarantine” for Netflix recommendations.)
4.) Clean! You can clean and organize your room, cleaning for a lot of people can be something they dread or really enjoy. Find a task in your room you really want to get done and make it fun! (See Tori Auckland’s article “Organization is Key!” for ideas on how to organize.)
5.) Go outdoors. Go for walks with your family and make it fun, play some games outdoors. Have a family dinner outside, go for a swim or start a new outdoor project to build!
Those are just a couple of many at home activities to do during quarantine, my personal favorites. There’s many more thing you can do in quarantine to make it much less boring for you and your family! Use your creativity to find new things to do to help keep yourself occupied until quarantine is over.
