Lady Raider’s Softball First Win

By: Rayne Glover/Junior Writer and Social Media Manager

The Blue Ridge Lady Raiders softball team’s season has officially started, and it definitely started off on the right foot. On April 5th, Blue Ridge took down the Lady Sabers at their field with a score of 19-0.

The Raider Reader asked Katie White, the Varsity pitcher for Blue Ridge, what she believes starting off the season with this win has done for them. She says it has built the confidence that the team is going to need moving forward while facing more advanced teams and experiencing more competition.

Varsity softball’s next game will take place on Monday, April 12th, 4:30pm at Forest City. The next home game will be at 4:30pm against Lackawanna Trail on April 15th. Find the rest of the season’s schedule here. Stay tuned!
