It’s Called BLUEstone for a Reason

The Battle of the Bluestone is a heated rivalry between the teams of Montrose-Elk Lake and Blue Ridge-Susquehanna, competing for the title of Bluestone champs. On September 20th, Susquehanna hosted the 8th annual competition, fans from all around flooded the stands Friday night. Having only lost the Bluestone Trophey once in 2015, the Sabers have pushed hard every season to claim the title yet again.

In a dominating performance, Susquehanna won with a score of 44-13. Calvin Scheideler had 9 rush attempts for 111 yards and two rushing touchdowns along with one receiving touchdown. Jesse Delousia had 12 rush attempts for 69 yards and one rushing touchdown. Spencer Beamer had 2 receptions for 43 yards and one receiving touchdown. Garrett Decker also had 11 rush attempts for 101 yards and 1 rushing touchdown to lead the team to victory.
