Blue Ridge seniors Clara Allen and Grace Graf have been best friends for over a decade.
The two met about sixteen years ago at Harford First Congregational Church, Harford, PA when they were three years old.
Later, when the two started pre-K, Graf remembers bonding with Allen over a passion for Taylor Swift’s music.
“I just remember Clara and I riding the bus together while screaming the words to ‘You Belong with Me‘ at the top of our lungs.”
Allen says she remembers visiting Graf’s house almost every day.
“My favorite memory,” says Allen, “is of Demo, Grace’s American bulldog, jumping on me while we were sledding and playing in the snow.”
Later, the two were part of the Blue Ridge Triplets cheer squad.
“We were lucky to find each other as friends, and lucky to share many of the same interests,” says Graf.
In eighth grade, both girls were inducted in the National Junior Honor Society together.
“Flash forward to twelfth grade,” says Graf, “and, you know, I’m thinking about how we are going to graduate together. It’s interesting how throughout high school our interests and friend circles changed, but we both knew we were there for each other. Clara is one of those friends I know I will stay in touch with after graduation.”
Allen and Graf have been there for each other since day one. They started school together thirteen years ago and this year they will be graduating together.
