The two first met about seventeen years ago when their parents introduced them.
While growing up, the two participated in dance together which made their bond even stronger.
Wiegand’s favorite memory from when they were little involves Paterno’s cat, Hermies.
“I was playing with Hermies when he was a new kitten and he clawed into my chest. Bre grabbed him and yanked him off, throwing him across the room.”
Paterno says that is her favorite memory too, calling it “the time Hermies attacked Jordan.”
According to Wiegand, their similarities include how they act, how they react to people, how they like to laugh, and how they both love softball. Their differences, she says, show up in the way they dress, how they look, and the type of guys they like.
Paterno says: “We’re both short, but I’m a blonde and Wiegand is a brunette.
“Our other differences,” says Paterno, “show up in our personalities. Jordan is aggressive, I’m docile. I am more outgoing than her.”
The duo graduated from kindergarten together in 2011. They are now preparing to graduate from high school together next month.
Since day one, Paterno and Wiegand have been best friends, and now they can say they’ve made it through high school with that friendship intact.
