Fashion at Blue Ridge

By: Marissa Fiske/ Junior Writer

Do you think that the way you dress affects your self confidence? Many people wear sweat pants, t-shirts, and hoodies everyday, but does that bring their confidence down?

Brooke Kelly wears nice clothes almost everyday and she is confident. She presents herself nicely.

Brooke’s Thoughts

I asked Brooke where she gets the majority of her clothes.

“I usually buy most of my clothes from Hollister ,” Brooke said.

Brooke wears nice tops, pants, and shoes. I wanted to know Brooke’s opinion on whether dressing up makes her more confident.

Brooke said, “Yes, I feel as though if you look good you feel good.”

After hearing what Brooke has said, I agree that dressing up does bring up someone’s self confidence. You can look in the mirror and feel good about yourself.

Thought’s Behind Her Outfit’s

I decided to ask Brooke more questions about how and why she dresses the way that she does. I asked Brooke what inspires her to wear what she does, and if there was a specific person that inspired her. She said that she wears what she wants and she likes to feel comfortable. Brooke also said that she chooses her outfits on her own.

The last question I asked Brooke was if she planned her outfits out the morning of or at night.

“I try to plan them out at night but it honestly depends on how I feel in the morning if I wear the outfit or not,” Brooke said.

She takes the time at night to decide her outfits, and I believe that will help other people be able to dress up if they choose to.
