Cupcake Review

What’s your favorite type of cupcake? Maybe chocolate or vanilla? If it’s chocolate then you should try this recipe. The first step is to gather everything you need: 2 bowls, 2 spoons, and your ingredients.

 The ingredients that you will need are: ¾ cups all-purpose flour, ½ cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder, ¾ teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ¼ teaspoon salt, 2 large eggs at room temperature, ½ cup granulated sugar, ½ cup packed light brown sugar, ⅓ cup vegetable oil, 2 teaspoon vanilla, ½ cup buttermilk at room temperature. First you have to mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Then mix all your wet ingredients together in a separate bowl. Pour half of the wet ingredients into the dry then mix. After that is mixed well add the other half. Set the oven to 350 degrees. Put cupcake liners in the pan and pour the batter into it. Put it into the oven for 18-20 minutes. Then let cool.

The next thing to do is to make the frosting. You can do this while the cupcakes are cooling. The materials that you will need for this are: a bowl, a spoon, and a piping bag (optional).

The ingredients that you will need are: 1 cup of unsalted butter at room temperature, 3 ½ cups of confectioners’ sugar, ½ cup of unsweetened natural cocoa powder, 3 tablespoons of heavy cream, ⅛ teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Mix all the ingredients together. You can either put it on the cupcake with a butter knife or a piping bag to make it look prettier. I added chocolate shavings on top too but that’s optional.
