It almost goes without saying that the Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events, ever. This year the big game, Super Bowl 58, will play out at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday Feb. 11 between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ironically, the Chiefs ended the season with their worst record to date in five years, 11-6. But, they’ve redeemed themselves by playing their best during playoffs.
Meanwhile, the 49ers have a 12-5 record but lost to the Chiefs at Super Bowl 54 in 2020, 31-20.
With any given Super Bowl, there are unlimited possibilities on how the game might play out. Many students in Blue Ridge have fun debating on which team may win, and what the score may be.
Junior Jackson Donovan says: “I enjoy predicting the Super Bowl because it is interesting to see how close my final prediction was.”
A recent informal poll at Blue Ridge found that students and staff are evenly split over who will win the Super Bowl on Sunday.
