Mirella Annesi, a junior at Blue Ridge, is an accomplished and talented artist despite being in high school, and it’s very obvious just looking at her work. Around 6th grade is when she realized that she loved every part of creating and wanted to make it into something more. To her, it was very important in helping her stay focused and also relieving stress. She moved frequently and art enabled her to cope with this. Cartoonish pieces are her favorite art style. Whatever art form she creates, she said that there is always a reason and emotion portrayed behind the piece. Anxiety and stress are some of the emotions she chooses to portray through her art.
In the future, Annesi is looking to attend college and study art education: “I’d really like to teach art someday.”
Here is a collection of some of the pieces Mirella is the most proud of.
