When winter comes around, the Blue Ridge students look forward to the Blue Ridge Ski Club season when they head up to Elk Mountain Ski Resort, Uniondale, PA each Thursday, January through mid-March, weather depending. Students are also allowed to use their ski pass on weekend nights if they miss or skip a Thursday outing during the season.

Ski Club has long been one of the most popular clubs for the Blue Ridge students. Some of the members of the Blue Ridge Ski Club shared a favorite memory on the mountain.

Students Memories

“I wore a banana costume on the last day and everyone called me “Banana Man.” I was basically famous.”

Owen Martin who used to snow board, decided to try skiing this year.

He stated his favorite memory was, “When Braddoc (Lusk) hit a tree.”

What I Like About Raider Reader: I like the fact students are given the opportunity to share their opinions, to be able to have a voice is so important. Raider Reader also allows students to be able to learn more about what’s happening in their school and can create healthy conversations between their peers.
