This year the Blue Ridge Basket Ball Cheerleading team was ranked 4th in the state by the 570 Sports Show. the team coaches Carissa Zawiski and her mom Lori Zawiski talked out about this event saying “we were ranked against schools not even in our league!”
“This year’s season with the girls has been fantastic. We have worked very hard on new cheers, stunts, and dance moves that have never been seen before at Blue Ridge. The girls have worked extremely hard to get to this point, and they continued to perform admirably in all of the games. My mother, the head coach, Lori Zawiski, and I are very proud of the girls and how far they have come this season.́
This season, seniors Trista Stone and Audrianna Choplosky were named co-captains, and the team elected senior Cadence Lusk as another co-captain. Cadence mixed the dance music and spent a lot of time this season coming up with new moves for their dance routine. All three of them have worked incredibly hard to make this season a great one for the team.”- Carissa Zawiski
The Blue Ridge BasketBall Cheerleaders have worked extremely hard this year. We in the Raider Reader are tremendously proud to have such a team go to our school.
