On Monday, February 5th the Windwood Hill Dance Academy (WHDA) announced the official opening of their Montrose location, after having been a staple of the community in New Milford for years. This change of scenery has been in the works since early last year, and follows the studio’s expansion into Susquehanna. The shiny new studio can now be found at 96 High St. Montrose, PA.
For a few months prior to the renovation of the new building, WHDA’s classes were held at the Susquehanna County Career & Technology Center (SCCTC). With all the obstacles, it is clear that both the staff and students are beside themselves with glee about the finalization of the new building’s construction.
“I’m really excited about having mirrors again so we can see what we are doing,” joked Blue Ridge Freshman and WHDA student, Brianna Graves.
Besides the new mirrors, the Montrose location offers classes in Irish Step, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Zumba, as well as a newly added fitness program.
“I’m really excited about all the amazing stuff we can do now since the new studio is open,” said Graves.
