Where Are The Juniors?

By: Kaylyn Lewis/Co-Sports Editor

No juniors? What? No juniors. For the first year in known history, there are no 11th graders playing on the girl’s basketball team this season. Since the absence of the juniors, there are many underclassmen to help fill the gap.

With three seniors, including Savannah Glover, Ashley Torres, and Christie Baldwin, the team still has good leadership for the season. Underclassmen such as the sophomores have the biggest number on the team. With six sophomores, they include Kara Wdowiak, Alexis Parks, Madison Gelinger, Rayne Glover, Reese Allen, and Savannah Carvin. The freshmen with five players, include Lilly Bleck, Hanna McCarthy, Hannah Snedaker, Gracey Hinkley, and Brooke Tingley.

The team has very young leadership coming from the underclassmen. With no juniors and only 3 seniors, it’s up to the sophomores to consume the roles the older players would normally fulfill.

This season will hopefully be one to remember, and leave us looking forward to next year seeing if there will be senior players or not. Will there be a senior night for players next year? Stay tuned.
