“The Mandalorian” arrived on Disney+ the same day the newly popular streaming service was launched to the public on November 12th, 2019. “The Mandalorian” is an American space western web television series that premiered on the brand new streaming service. Disney+ is the on-demand, ad free streaming service that Disney fans have been hoping and waiting for. “The Mandalorian” has weekly episodes that premier every Friday. “The Mandalorian” currently has 8 episodes. This show will have 8 episodes per season, and a second season is already in production. Jon Favreau is the creator and head-writer and show runner, as well as executive producer, along side Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, with Pedro Pascal portraying Mando.
After the stories of Jango Fett and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. The series depicts a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
“The Mandalorian” is the best thing thing that Disney has done to the Star Wars franchise. Most Star Wars fans can agree that “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens” and “Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi” were complete garbage with “Rogue One” and “Solo: a Star Wars Story” being an exception. I personally love “The Mandalorian;” you never get bored watching it and the writing is perfect for this show. I rate this show a 9/10. “The Mandalorian” has finally ended its first season by releasing its 8th episode on December 27th, 2019 with a surprising ending for sure.
