Senior Feature: Lucas DeBella

By: Elizabeth Smith/Sophomore Writer

“Don’t be in a hurry to condemn because he doesn’t do what you do or think as you think or as fast. There was a time when I didn’t know what you know today.” -Malcolm X

After high school, Lucas DeBella plans to take a gap year before his college experience so he can work and save money. Afterward, he plans to go to East Stroudsburg University and minor in music; his major is decided but he would like to keep it himself.

Lucas says he will most likely participate in clubs and/or special activities in college, but he did not specify which ones.  He also plans to live on campus.

Throughout high school, Lucas participated in chorus for five years, and also played the alto saxophone in band for three years.

The next few years will be a surprise for him, as he does not know what to expect.

To his underclassmen, Lucas says, “Nothing is as important as it seems… don’t worry about it.”
