Senior Feature: Karin Dunbar

By: Christie Baldwin/Senior Writer

“Every end is a new beginning.”

Senior Karin Dunbar hopes to graduate from Blue Ridge with qualifications to study nursing. This year, Dunbar spends half of her school day at the Susquehanna County Career and Technology Center (SCCTC) studying nursing. She hopes to continue her studies next year, and eventually fulfill her dream job of becoming a registered nurse (RN).

While in high school, Dunbar has participated in cheer leading for the co-opt football team that Blue Ridge has with Susquehanna, also know as the Sabers.

Dunbar is undecided as to which college she will attend. Therefore, she is unsure if she will participate in any clubs, special activities, or sports after graduating high school.

Dunbar anticipates the next few years to be challenging, but says she’s ready to take it on, leaving the underclassmen with the advice to “study, study, study!”
