“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”

Josh Goff is a graduating member of the Class of 2019. Goff has been a part of numerous activities during his time at Blue Ridge. Such activities include; Leo Club (2 years), FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), Student Council (3 years), SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), Homecoming Committee, Vice-President of Columbia Hose Co., and has served as Senior Class Vice-President. He has also played Baseball for 12 years.

Goff’s favorite memory is “going to District Playoffs for baseball my freshman year because we saw all our hard work pay off.” His advice to underclassmen is “slow down, enjoy your youth, and make the most out of your High School experience.”

When asked how it feels to be a senior, Goff replied, “it feels exciting to be starting the next chapter in my life and start to take a step towards my professional goals.”

Goff says what he will miss most about high school is, “sitting around hanging out with the guys that I grew up with.”

Josh says that his favorite teacher was his elementary 4th grade teacher, Mr. Jones, “because he made things easier to understand and made class entertaining.”

Mrs. Kimberly Davenport has had Josh in English 11, English 12, and AP study hall over the years and says “Josh is very enthusiastic about anything you give him to do, he works hard and I’ve loved having him as a student. He’s easy to get along with good with other students.”

Come the fall of 2019, Josh will be attending Broome Community College for Forensic Science.
