“My reality needs imagination like a light bulb needs a socket.

My imagination needs reality like a blind man needs a cane.” – Tom Waits

Connor Gaughan plans to accomplish his dream job of being a combat medic after high school. To do so, he plans to partake in future soldier training.

Throughout his high school career, Gaughan had participated in Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), chorus, and envirothon.

He believes the years following high school will be very hard and disciplined.

As advice to the underclassmen, Gaughan says, “Don’t fail.”

Li Ling Lee is a Blue Ridge senior who believes that everyone should be proud to embrace their own differences. She may be insecure, but she continues to get by alright. #PraisinTheAsian
