Senior Feature: Christie Baldwin

By: Ryan Glatzel/Junior Writer

“There’s no fun at the Ridge.” -Mr. Lewis

During her days walking Blue Ridge’s halls, senior Christie Baldwin has participated in many after school activities and clubs. She played basketball and softball for all 4 years of her high school career. Besides sports, Baldwin has participated in Leo Club, Geocaching Club, and Trivia Club. Outside of school, she was a former member of Girl Scouts, a Lifeguard at the New Milford Pool, and participated in 21 Hoops.

After high school, Baldwin has plans to attend a technical or trade school to study electrical construction or HVAC, even though her dream job would be a famous Tik Tok creator.

When asked if Baldwin will be participating in any clubs or sports after high school, she responded, “I definitely would participate in whatever they provide because I am very good at balancing my academics and extracurricular activities.” Baldwin also anticipates that the next few years, compared to high school will be “Very difficult at first, but then would become almost like second nature after time.”

Baldwin hopes to leave the underclassman with some words of advice: “Stay true to yourself. Believe in yourself. Don’t let other people dictate your life.”
