“Everyday is gonna end at some point.”
With just a few months of high school to go, Cameron Franks is preparing for what is yet to come. After graduation, Franks plans to attend Keystone College to pursue a career in either Sports Management or with the State Police, even though his dream job would be to own a casino on a beach.
He anticipates the next few years of his life will be a big step up for him as he takes on certain responsibilities on his own.
Franks has been a very active student here throughout his high school career, participating in Leo Club, Envirothon, and FBLA. He is also the team captain of the Varsity Soccer and Boys Varsity Volleyball teams. As a sophomore, Franks was awarded 2nd team All-Star for volleyball, and junior year he was awarded 1st team All-Star, as well as MVP of the league. This year, Franks was awarded 1st team All-Star for soccer, and is excited to see what his final year of Blue Ridge Volleyball brings.
Although Franks has been quite involved throughout high school, he is unsure as to whether or not he will participate in any special clubs or activities while in college. However, if he finds any that spark his interest, then his answer is “yes!”
As Franks will soon be saying goodbye to Blue Ridge, he leaves underclassmen with this advice: “Don’t rush it. One day you will be a freshman and in the blink of an eye you’re a senior reminicing all that you have done. Try everything and don’t rush it.”
