Senior Annie Bonner has been a part of various clubs and sports throughout her time at Blue Ridge.
She experienced success in track and field as league champion in shot put and discus her sophomore year and as a district competitor all four years of high school. Bonner has also played basketball since third grade.
She has also filled her time with prom committee; homecoming committee; journalism, as a content editor; Leo club, as treasurer, and has tallied countless hours volunteering through the National Honor Society. Bonner spends summers as a camp counselor for kids with diabetes.
She says that her favorite high school memory is “going on the New York City field trip with my closest friends–Krystal, Mary and Isabelle.”
Annie says she will “miss venting and talking to Ms. Stang about anything and everything.”
Her advice to underclassmen is to “enjoy every moment while you’re still in it, because they’ll soon be memories.”
When asked what the one thing she’ll take away from her time at Blue Ridge is, Bonner said, “to not take everything so seriously because most things aren’t worth stressing over.”
Come August of 2019, Annie will be attending Penn State University to major in either psychology to become a health psychologist, or biology to become an obstetrician.
