“Reputation is what others think about you. What’s far more important is character, because that is what you think about yourself.” -Billie Jean King
As a current participant in varsity golf, Leo Club, ski club, Big Brother Big Sister, student council, and National Honor Society, Andrew Scott is also taking on his senior year at Blue Ridge.
After high school, Andrew plans on majoring in biology on a pre-med track. Though his dream job is to be a cardiologist, he hopes of going on to Medical School after his first years of college and becoming a physician. He says what he expects the next few years to be like is “an adjustment from what I’m used to since we live in such a small town. I’m excited to see what comes next”.
In college, Andrew wants to keep himself busy, so he is hoping to join a few clubs. Given the fact he is undecided on a university, he is also unsure on which ones he will pick.
As for the underclassman, Andrew expresses, “I know its cliche, but your high school years fly by, and I wouldn’t take any of it for granted. Once you are out of High School, it’s the real world. Take this opportunity to join a new club, make some new friends, try a sport, and step outside of your comfort zone. Flip your perspective of high school from negative to positive, and enjoy it while it lasts!”
