News in Brief: Gingerbread House Competition

On Friday, December 20, 2019, Blue Ridge’s foods classes held their annual gingerbread house making competition.

According to foods teacher Kristen Latting, “Our kids put hours into this project and it’s one of their favorites for the year.”

The entries are judged by high school teachers.

Latting says the winning entries are as follows: first Place, 4 Seasons; second place, Beach House, and third place, The Trap House.

The names of the student teams were not yet released.

Clayton Whitney is a first year journalism student, working to graduate his junior year of high school. He spends most of his weekends racing ATV's up and down the east coast. He enjoys spending the rest of his free time hunting, fishing, boating, or pretty much anything else out doors.
