News In Brief: BR Construction Update

Matthew Button, Blue Ridge Superintendent, announced yesterday that starting on Monday, November 25, there will be significant changes to parking assignments and traffic flow, as follows:

Parking Lot Changes:

  • The elementary parking lot will be closed until further notice.
  • All staff previously utilizing the Blue Ridge Elementary School parking lot will now utilize identified parking spots along the playgrounds, the new access road, the greenhouse, and the cafeteria parking lot. These areas should be accessed through the Elementary entrance. When parking in these areas, please proceed all the way around the loop to the furthest available spot. Parent drop-off will be utilizing the same route, so please plan accordingly. Passing is prohibited.

Parent Drop-off for Elementary and MS/HS:

  • All cars will enter the Elementary entrance and drop-off will occur at the rear of the elementary building.

Parent Pick-up for Elementary:

  • Parent pick-up will follow the same procedure as for the morning drop-off.

Parent Pick-up for MS/HS:

  • There is no change to the current procedure.

Bus Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures:

  • There is no change to the current procedure.

Student Van Transportation Service:

  • Drop-off is the same as for the parent drop-off procedures.

Ø  Pick-up will remain as-is.

PreK Drop-off and Pick-up procedures

  • The PreK bus drivers and parents should follow the elementary parent drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Visitor Entrance for Elementary Office, Health Office, and Student Services:

  • All visitors for these areas will enter the Middle School/High School parking lot entrance and follow signage to the visitor parking available in the cafeteria parking lot.
