The Blue Ridge Leo Club advisor, Mrs. Kristen Latting, says the club will hold its annual coat drive to benefit the community on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 from 3:30 to 6:00 in the school’s small gym.

Leo Club has been holding the annual coat drive for at least ten years, and “every coat is given to local families in hopes to keep them warm over the winter months,” says Latting.

Last year the club gave away over 300 coats.

According to Latting, “All of the coats come from people in our community and from many of our teachers and staff who also donate.”

“In addition,” she says, “the club has about 400 dollars to purchase more coats.”
