New Foods?

By: Kimberly Bryden/ Junior Writer, Micah Mullen/ Staff artist

Getting tired of the school lunches at school? Well now you can have a possible say in what you would like to see on the Blue Ridge lunch menu. There is a box outside of Mrs. Davenport’s classroom (Room 258) for the lunch menu and we need students to fill it up with ideas! The box is only for food submissions; please do not put trash of any kind into it.

The BR food service manager Linda Cole-Koloski has asked us make a box for the students to fill up with “reasonable, responsible, and respectful” food ideas to have on our lunch menu this year. We will be checking the submissions at the end of every month.

These submissions are anonymous and we will pick through the suggestions to find the most repeated ideas and give them to Cole-Koloski every month. Please keep submissions clean and only enter suggestions you think the school can actually make. For example, do not put steak or lobster.

We ask the students, please DO NOT REMOVE the box! This box is needed for the Cafeteria and should be taken seriously.

One of the new food items that recently has been added to the Blue Ridge lunch menu was the cheese steak. To read more about the process in how new foods are added and why the cheese steak was chosen, check Kimberly Bryden’s article, Say Cheese-Steak!
