As many of you know, there has been an added period between seventh and eighth period, which will allow students to explore what they want to do for a future career. The extra period will be every other Thursday. Though students can change the career exploration class assigned to them, they will have to stay put for three classes before switching.
Spanish teacher Mrs. Lucrecia Jesse shared her plans for her first class.
“I will show them how nursing has evolved from when I was a nurse to now,” says Jesse.
“It is an informal period so no stress. It would be stressful if I had to grade the students and give them exams,” says Jesse.
Junior, Jillian Stone stated that the new class periods could be cool and productive.
“They can be productive if you are put into the right class that will actually help you with your future,” says Stone.
Stone also stated that she does not like the idea of you having to wait three weeks before changing to the class period you want.
“I think you should be able to change it whenever you want, if you are stuck in a class that you don’t want or you don’t need for the future, it is pointless,” says Stone.
