The Rise Of Skywalker (TROS), is the ninth and final installment of the Star Wars Skywalker saga. After 42 years and 11 consecutive films, 6 TV shows, a handful of video games and countless books, the saga comes to an end. TROS came to theaters on December 20th, 2019 with a budget of 275 million USD. Within a week of its release, Episode IX (TROS) made over 500 million USD. TROS was written and directed by J.J. Abrams who also directed Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Episode VII) and Star Trek Into Darkness.
When it’s discovered that the evil Emperor Palpatine did not die at the hands of Darth Vader, the rebels must race against the clock to find out his whereabouts. Finn and Poe lead the Resistance to put a stop to the First Order’s plans to form a new Empire, while Rey anticipates her inevitable confrontation with Kylo Ren.
Some fans call The Rise of Sywalker amazing, and some others call it complete garbage. TROS was to clean up the mess of The Last Jedi (the eighth installment) left behind in one movie. I give this movie a 7/10. The Skywalker saga had to end somehow, and the ending to TROS wasn’t as bad as it seems. If you haven’t seen The Rise of Skywalker, it’s up to you to go watch it, you will neither be impressed or disappointed.
