National Honor Society is known as a club filled with exceptional academic performing students that represent leadership, citizenship, scholarship, service and character. These students and the advisor, Sara Yeust, take on many events throughout the school year to exemplify these characteristics. With that said, here are a few upcoming events to keep an eye out for!
February 14th: The Honor Society will be creating handmade Valentines and delivering them to the residents of Barnes-Kasson Hospital and Meadow View Senior Living Center in Montrose.
February 23rd: The second blood drive of the year will be held with Geisinger Blood Center. It will be the club’s last chance to meet their scholarship goals for this year.
March 21st: The NHS induction dinner will be held in the cafeteria followed by the official ceremony that will be taking place in the auditorium to recognize current members and induct new ones.
Spring: The club will be organizing a Spring fundraiser to support True Friends Animal Welfare Center in Montrose, and a roadside clean-up along route 11 through the district.
May 11th: Honor Society will be holding the last blood drive of the year with Red Cross.
The year isn’t nearly over but it will come sooner than you think! Keep an eye out for these events that will be taking place within the next few months from your National Honor Society.
