FBLA Competition Results

The Future Business Leaders of America’s student organization competition was held at Keystone College. Blue Ridge’s members include, Hunter Heeman (freshman), Allyssa Johnson (junior), Mackenzie Lewis (junior), Hailey Tripp (junior), Jerni Schell (junior), Brock Gumaer (junior), Eli McArthur (junior), Benjamin Gudykunst (junior), Andrew Merrell (junior), and Luis Tobon (junior).

Blue Ridge’s members performed very well and brought a gold medal home thanks to Allyssa Johnson, who placed first in the journalism category in the competition.

“I was surprised. There were so many others who took it, I didn’t think little ole me would win!” stated Johnson.

Jerni Schell states that “It was definitely an experience that everyone should go through. You meet new people, learn many new things, and then go to any fun workshops you want to attend.”

Overall, the day went well and many of the FBLA members showed their best strengths.

Alexa Stanley is a bubbly senior with an aspiration for adventure! She has participated in volleyball, track and cheerleading. She will be furthering her education with a focus on nursing, hoping to achieve her goal of making a difference.
