Department Heads

Morgan Mansfield

Co-Editor-In-Chief

Morgan Mansfield is a third year journalism student, taking on her senior year of high school. She spends most of her free time singing, playing, or writing music. Fascinated by the human mind, Morgan plans to obtain a degree in Clinical Psychology and become a therapist to help people work through their troubles.

Jack Condon

Business Manager

Jack Condon is a senior writer. He runs Cross Country and Track while also enjoying everything to do with art and fun activities. He always looks to the future and peruses what would be best for the success of whatever he is doing. All in all, he falls in love with what he is doing with all his heart.

Madison Welsted

Content Editor

Madison will be a young graduate at 17, but she is looking forward to finishing her senior year of high school. In the future, she plans to earn her master's degree in a major related to psychology, as she aspires to become a one-on-one counselor. She works at Subway and babysits to help save money. In her free time, she likes to read, write, and talk to people, so journalism is a topic of interest to her for sure.

Sarah Marble

Sarah Marble is a senior and a second-year journalism student. She enjoys spending her time giving back to others. She values being involved in her community and school as an active leader. After graduating high school, she aspires to become a Registered Nurse and be a light to others.

Milia Stilloe

Milia Stilloe is a first-year sophomore journalism writer. She participates in volleyball as well as multiple clubs. She enjoys playing outside with friends, family and her dog in her free time!

Tori Auckland

A&E Editor

Tori Auckland is a first-year journalism student. She is a senior and loves spending time with kids and writing creative stories. After high school, she wants to attend Cairn University and major in Early Childhood Education. Tori yearns to travel around the world to use her major in missionary work.

Kaylyn Lewis

Kaylyn Lewis is a first-year journalism student, completing her junior year of high school. On top of being in AP classes, she is active in varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball. She plans on going to college but is still deciding between physical therapy or sports therapy.

Tyler Hillard

Tyler Hillard is a senior in his second year of journalism. Tyler is also a three-sport varsity athlete competing in baseball, basketball and golf. Besides a constant life of sports he is an avid outdoors-men and loves debating politics.

Seth Anderson

Seth Anderson is a first-year journalist taking on his senior year. He plans to attend college but is unsure about any specific path. He has a life but has not done much with it so far.

Erin Houlihan

Erin is a senior and is a first-year member of journalism. She is a former volleyball player and is very active. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and Leo Club. On her free time, she likes to be with friends or family doing adventurous activities.

Savannah Glover

Social Media Director

Savannah Glover is a first-year journalism student. She is a dedicated student in the honors courses and a four-year varsity softball starter and four-year basketball player. She enjoys spending her time with animals, traveling, and playing softball. She plans to attend college to pursue a business major and career.

Mirella Annesi

Mirella Annesi is a sophomore, first-year journalism student. She can be found writing fantasy short stories, Drawing for others, perfecting her artistic skills and reading fantasy novels in her free time. 

Kaitlin Farthing

Staff Artist

Kaitlin is a quiet first-year journalism student in her junior year. She's an online artist and animator who has a passion for art, animals, anime, and video games. In her free time, she's usually drawing, talking to friends, or reading manga. She has two leopard geckos that she'd do anything for.

Giavonna Fiore

Giavonna Fiore is an artistic senior in her first year of journalism. Gia has been passionate about her sports since middle school, as she is starting her sixth year of track and field, and second year of cross country and managing varsity boys basketball. She is also President of the senior class, Student Council, and President of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the National Honor Society. Following high school, Gia would like to pursue a career as an officer in the United States Army and following her service, possibly a career in government and politics.

Garrison Strohl

Garrison Strohl is a Senior at Blue Ridge. He has a big passion for music and art and would love to move down to Flordia to a full career in music. His Favorite sport is Hockey and Favorite team is the Bruins. Growing up wanting to be a lawyer or a game designer many interests he has contrasts, but now the love for all music and other things online like making videos, editing and photoshop has come hand in hand.

Carissa Zawiski

Junior Assistant to the Editor

Carissa Zawiski is a junior in high school who loves to try new things! She keeps herself entertained with cheerleading and spending time with friends and family. She hopes to attend college after high school and get a degree in teaching. She sees teaching as something she would love to do, and help others understand how important education is.

Kaelin Hughes

Kaelin Hughes is a determined second-year journalism student taking on her senior year at Blue Ridge. She has participated in Leo Club, National Honor Society, and theater. When you don't have any idea of where Kaelin is, she can be found doing anything music or theater-related, stressing out over classes, or sleeping. Her future goals consist of attending college, but unsure of a specific path, since her ideas change at any given moment, but she's working on it, hoping to go through the motions of life.

Makenzie is a first-year journalism student who is taking on her senior year. She is an active member of the national honor society and Leo club and is a three-year varsity volleyball player. On her free time, she plays recreational volleyball, golfs, and goes skiing

Alexander Mitchell

Alexander Mitchell, also known as Xan, is a sophomore and first-year journalism student. He is the epitome of geekiness; he is obsessed with Star Wars, Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, and Harry Potter. Apart from those he is also passionate about science. He hopes to eventually have a career as an actor and astronomer.

Ashley Torres is a first-year journalism student. She loves playing sports and being involved in school activities/clubs. Ashley is an amazing artist and loves spending free time drawing, after high school, she aspires to be a physical therapist and play college basketball.

Breanna Post is a first-year journalism student, taking on her junior year of high school. She is an active member of the National Honor Society and plays varsity volleyball and softball. She plans to go to college and have a career as a forensic pathologist, studying hard in her classes to get her there.

Clayton Whitney is a first-year journalism student, working to complete his senior year of high school. He spends most of his weekends racing ATV's up and down the east coast. He enjoys spending the rest of his free time hunting, fishing, boating, or pretty much anything else outdoors.

Christie Baldwin is a first year journalism student. She is an energetic junior, who plays basketball and softball. She enjoys being apart of the geocaching club. During the summer she works as a lifeguard at the New Milford Pool.

Madison Swisher is a senior and a first-year member of journalism. She decided to take journalism her last year of high school because she wants to try something new and experience this to see if this is something she would like to continue in college. Madison’s career choices are involved around music, she is interested in pursuing a career in playing her trumpet for others and/or teaching other students with the same interests.

Clarisa Millard is a senior in her first year in journalism. Clarisa is the varsity cheer captain on the basketball cheer team and also plays softball.

Bryce Thompson is a senior in his first year in journalism. Bryce enjoys making music for people in his free time. This includes doings things such as writing lyrics, recording vocals, and producing instrumentals. Bryce hopes to make it big someday.

Mykenzie Layton

Mykenzie Layton is a current senior and in her first year of journalism. She is doing her first year of basketball cheer this year and enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her lovable animals. Mykenzie also wants to attend college but is very indecisive about her future.

Dylan Stone is a second-year journalism student in his senior year of high school. He participates in Track and in addition, he enjoys spending most of his time outside exploring what the world has to offer. He also actively challenges himself academically by taking advanced placement and honors classes.

Madison is a senior and taking on her first year of journalism. Madison is indecisive about her future, although she plans to attend college. She is cheering this year for the Blue Ridge basketball team.

Olivia Martin

Olivia Martin is a first-year journalism student who is entering her senior year. She is involved in many clubs and activities including Leo Club, National Honor Society, softball, and managing the boys Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball teams. She loves her dog Paisley, being outdoors, and working at Barbour Farms helping with the animals, harvesting vegetables, and all things in between. Liv would love to visit Alaska and Hawaii one day. She hopes to have a career in environmental science, agriculture, or wildlife biology so she can continue enjoying the great outdoors.

Kyle Maginley is a senior at Blue Ridge taking on his first year of journalism. Alongside his friends, he makes music as a hobby and respects everyone in his life and circle. He hopes to do the best he can this year and move to Florida to follow his dreams of pursuing a career in music.

Peyton Gelinger is a junior in high school. She spends most of her time keeping herself busy with volleyball, competitive dance and cheerleading. Spending times with friends and family is an important factor in her life. After high school, she hopes to attend IUP with an undecided major.

Liz Smith is a sophomore who hopes to study criminal justice after highschool. Liz loves animals, especially horses and donkeys. In her free time, Liz can be found caring for animals on a friends farm, horseback-riding or in the barn. Liz also volunteers for AWANA on Friday nights.

Leah Rippy is a first-year journalism student walking the halls of Blue Ridge for the first time. She is an avid reader and gamer who is excited to see what Blue Ridge has in store for her that her old school did not.
